Our close association with Guy Oliver of Oliver Laws and the Maybourne Hotel Group started with the West Wing extension of the Connaught hotel where Guy used our decorative glass and mirror products, including Nero ‘Metal 2bc’ in bedroom screens, Nero ‘Textile 12 lis white’ vanity panels, acid etched ‘Japanese paper’ shower screens and various ceiling mirrors. Our glass featured in all of the rooms, the Spa area, the Entrance hall and the Ballroom.
Since then we have been involved in many other projects both large and small, including the installation of 16 sets of etched peach and bevelled Art Deco mirrors for the pilasters in the refurbishment of Claridge’s ballroom in 2012. More recently we supplied the shaped and bevelled column mirrors in Fera at Claridges and the fine horizontal gold lined glass screens.
Whilst undertaking this work we were also asked to refurbish the historic French embossed mirrors from the old restaurant for re-use in the Fumoir. This ultimately involved a complete copy being manufactured!
