This residential project required Verre Eglomise glass panels to be manufactured and glazed into the elegantly panelled walls of this relatively small intimate dining room.
A great deal of sampling was needed to ensure that the distressing of the gold leaf had the correct character and degree of diffusion with the correct tonal effect. Once this was achieved the finished results were sophisticated and warm, whilst giving the room a feeling of space and intimacy.
Our client was so happy with the results of this installation that they commissioned us to install two large three metre high antique mirrors either side of the chimney breast in the first floor lounge, of this lovely property. They selected one of our antique silver finishes for this part of the project, which was framed to match the dining room panelling and was followed a year or so later by the same approach in the adjacent Music room.
