Our specialist surveyors are knowledgeable glass experts who understand site requirements and construction issues, using the most up to date laser technology where appropriate. There is little if anything that they have not encountered in the past. Our Installation teams are experienced in the installation of everything from glass balustrading and toughened glass assemblies, through shower screens to mirrors and glass cladding. We install glass both locally, nationally and when necessary internationally.

GLASS DECORATION

We are one of the few remaining companies specialising in the decoration of glass using traditional and contemporary techniques including sandblasting, acid etching, brilliant cutting, silkscreen printing, gilding and many other techniques.

We are one of the few companies who can boast over 60 years of experience in this field, which enables us to stand apart from the new kids on the block due to the vast depth of knowledge in this area!

We are keeping alive the age old tradition for producing traditional decorative glass such as ‘French embossed’ and ‘embossed & ground’ panels in-house, whilst simultaneously developing the use of new masking techniques allied to our interpretive skills to create new affects and finishes.

In addition to our ability to back paint glass to match any RAL, Dulux or Farrow & Ball colour coding, we can also colour match. Nero can apply coloured patterns or borders onto clear, etched or coloured backgrounds by using various masking techniques, including silk screen printing. Alternatively we can create dramatic abstract washes of colour or alternatively simulate stained glass by utilising coloured resins with additional materials as necessary for your project.

DESIGN & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

We have an ‘in-house‘ structural glass design facility capable of carrying out all the necessary calculations regarding loads, stresses, tolerances etc. and we will then advise on the glass make up for each particular enquiry. These drawings will be presented as an ‘AutoCad’ drawing or as a PDF file if you do not have the facility to view a DXF file.

Over a number of years our design team have developed our own stunning range of quality cladding Products, which we periodically add to and are displayed on our Products page. These have been specified for many projects both large and small over many years.

We are however equally happy advising on and helping with the development of your own ideas with a view to producing something unique for your project. This could involve advising on how to interpret your design onto glass, to developing a design idea from your brief into a drawing for approval, through to designing the framework and glazing system to house a triple glazed feature, including an edge illumination system, as well as the interpretation of three pieces of artwork for each layer for a central London prestigious reception area.

Our ‘in-house’ glass decoration department utilise Adobe ‘Illustrator’ for the production of drawings for approval and for the vector drawings required for producing computer cut stencils to be used as a resist before the application of the relevant decorative process (as explained elsewhere) or in some cases the final finish in its own right! We also use Adobe ‘Photoshop’ for the manipulation of photographic images where production methods may involve printing, whether as a means to an end, as in the case of certain acid etched effects, or as an end itself, as in the case of photographic or coloured images

DELIVERIES

We can deliver to the tail board for offloading by your own operatives or where necessary we can send a team to offload and carry a large panel to its destination within the building or generally tailor the service to suit your requirements. We can deliver locally in the London area or Nationally and when required we can arrange for Packing, Insurance and Freight for International deliveries. The delivery method should be agreed at the outset and therefore be included in the Estimate, provided the exact requirements such as ease of access, time slots etc. were advised when the enquiry was made.
